The conference program on 12.12.23 was international in character. As was to be expected given the current EU targets, the central topic was the EU as a driver for the biogas industry to implement the transformation.

Due to the passivity of the German government with regard to the controversial biodiesel imports from China, the high oversubscription of the tender for electricity generation and the lack of signs of commitment to biogas from the German government, the mood was subdued. The unexpected cancellation of subsidies for CO2 savings at short notice contributed significantly to the mood.
