From the perspective of biogas plant operators, few manufacturers and producers of biomethane were represented at the event. Companies that trade or purchase biomethane, on the other hand, were represented in large numbers. Discussions revealed that brokers and traders are also currently suffering from the political uncertainties. All of the discussion partners were aware of cases where initiators have put their projects on hold or discontinued project development.

It is to be hoped that the industry will receive clear signals from Berlin as quickly as possible and that a legal framework will be created that will enable the necessary investments from SMEs for the transformation and that economically and ecologically sensible projects can be implemented.
